Prototype of Hawaiian’s sea glider makes test flights

A tiny prototype of the electric sea glider Hawaiian Airlines has invested in made its first test flights in Narragansett Bay, R.I, and the REGENT aircraft is on schedule to carry passengers as soon as 2024. The vehicle will be capable of operating as a boat or hydrofoil as well as lifting itself into the air, and Hawaiian thinks it will be ideal for interisland travel.
