Queen’s farewell events boost London hotel rates

The hundreds of thousands who’ll visit London for Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral will be met by hotel prices that have risen to the occasion, some by as much as 300%. Block bookings for extra police and other personnel in preparation for Monday’s rites have added to the demand, a hospitality industry spokesperson noted.
