Recovery continues apace for extended-stay hotels

Room revenues for upscale extended-stay hotels topped the 2019 level for the first time in the second quarter, and a hospitality research firm predicts full recovery for the sector in the near term. The Highland Group’s study finds economy extended-stay hotels still pacing the industry’s rebound from the pandemic, reaching 126% of the sector’s 2019 RevPAR mark.
