Reeve Air Alaska to launch scheduled commuter ops
The US Department of Transportation has tentatively granted Reeve Air Alaska (RVV, Anchorage Ted Stevens), an air taxi operator, scheduled commuter authority ahead of the airline’s planned network expansion. In its application for the upgraded certificate, Reeve Air Alaska said it planned to launch a 3x weekly route between Anchorage Ted Stevens and McGrath, AS, using its only Beech (twin turboprop) King Air. According to the ch-aviation schedules module, McGrath currently does not see any scheduled passenger services, although Northern Air Cargo operates a 2x weekly cargo service from Anchorage via Aniak using B737-400(F)s. Reeve Air Alaska currently operates 2x weekly scheduled flights from Anchorage to Gulkana under an Essential Air Service contract. The carrier also operates frequent charter flights to McCarthy.
