REITs gained in Oct., led by retail and lodging

In October, total returns for the FTSE All Equity REIT index were up 3.38%, with the retail and lodging sectors helping to drive the gains. Looking ahead, there is likely to be an “all-time high in aggregate FFO for REITs” this quarter, said Nareit’s John Worth. “The solid REIT operational performance underpins some of that inflation protection that REITs can provide,” Worth said.
