Report: Women, Black people make gains on hotel boards

Representation of women and African-Americans on hospitality boards reached record levels in 2019 before the trend slowed in 2020, a new survey shows. About one-fifth of publicly traded hotel company board members are women and only 11 of 31 boards have Black members, but progress is being made in the face of the pandemic, says the Castell Project, a nonprofit promoting female advancement in the industry.
