Research: Travel marketing comes soaring back

Investment in advertising by airlines, US tourism, lodging providers and rental car companies hit $623 million from January through April 2022, up 43% year-over-year compared with the same time frame last year, according to MediaRadar research. Lodging advertisers accounted for almost half of the spending, and MediaRadar says the travel market should “expect spending on formats like video, Facebook and display to increase as we move through 2022.”
