As the restaurant industry is largely dependent on immigrant workers, issues around deportation and diversity, and how it will affect the industry is a crucial issue to address, writes Jori Hamilton. President Biden’s Citizenship Act provides the ability for foodservice operators to “confidently hire hard-working immigrants without the threat of violating laws or attracting attention from ICE” and companies with diverse management at all levels translates to a 19% increase in revenue when compared to competitors without diverse leadership in place, writes Hamilton.
