Ritz-Carlton sommelier spotlights local Calif. Wines
While working at a wine bar as a student with plans to become a registered dietitian, Marcus Sloseck became fascinated with wine and reconsidered his career path, which led him to his current position as lead sommelier at the Ritz-Carlton in Half Moon Bay, Calif. Sloseck includes bottles from the nearby Santa Cruz Mountains on the hotel’s wine list to showcase “not only the superior uniqueness or prime quality, but how they come together and have a perfect reason to have a place at the table,” he said.
