Rosalind Brewer takes up Walgreens CEO post
Rosalind Brewer officially took over as Walgreens CEO this week, making her the only Black woman serving as chief executive of a Fortune 500 company. Brewer spent 22 years climbing the ranks at Kimberly-Clark before joining Walmart in 2006, becoming Sam’s Club CEO in 2012 and, five years later, leaving to become Starbucks’ chief operating officer.
