S.D. hotel barred Native American guests, DOJ claims

The US Department of Justice has claimed the owners of a hotel in South Dakota violated anti-discrimination provisions when they turned away Native American guests. Connie Uhre, the proprietor of both the Grand Gateway Hotel and the hotel’s bar in Rapid City is alleged to have written on Facebook that she cannot “allow a Native American to enter our business.”
