Sabre: August proves cruel month for hotel, air trade

The pandemic is far from finished slowing the movement of Americans, Sabre Corp. reports. August saw hotel reservations fall 22% below 2019 levels, while airline bookings were down 65% as coronavirus cases rose and vaccinations lagged, the travel company said in a Securities and Exchange Commission filing.
