Sabre, a leading provider of software and technology solutions for the travel industry, highlighted its strategic focus on enhancing route development and data accuracy during Routes Americas 2024 in Bogota.

As the largest global distribution systems (GDS) provider for air bookings, Sabre plays a crucial role in enabling airlines and travel suppliers to efficiently plan, market, sell, and operate their businesses. At the forefront of this effort is Sabre’s suite of network planning tools, designed to manage connections, optimize capacity, and maximize slot utilization in a dynamic and complex aviation environment.

“Network planning has evolved significantly, driven by factors such as maintenance issues, pilot shortages, supply chain disruptions, and aircraft deliveries,” explained Razvi Murtuza, Director of Product Management for Network Planning and Optimization at Sabre. “Airlines are adopting new strategies to adapt to these challenges, and our tools are pivotal in helping them navigate these changes effectively.”

SabreMosaic, one of Sabre’s latest innovations, exemplifies this approach. Developed in collaboration with Google, SabreMosaic leverages AI to personalize content and enhance the airline retail experience, catering to the evolving demands of modern travelers.

During Routes Americas 2024, Sachin Nandula, Manager of Product Management for MI, Travel Data, and PRISM at Sabre, underscored the company’s commitment to data accuracy. “We’ve seen tremendous interest from airlines seeking robust solutions for route forecasting, as well as from airports needing precise data to support compelling route proposals,” he noted. “The insights gained and networking opportunities at Routes Americas have been invaluable, reinforcing Sabre’s leadership in shaping the future of air travel planning.”

Looking ahead, Sabre remains dedicated to innovating and collaborating within the industry, ensuring that its technologies continue to meet the evolving needs of airlines, airports, and travelers worldwide. The company anticipates further engagement and collaboration at Routes World, building on the successes and industry insights garnered at Routes Americas 2024.
