Samuelsson aims to take Black culinary mainstream

World-renowned chef Marcus Samuelsson says in a recent interview that the recipes featured in his recent book “The Rise” are a love letter to the Black chefs that inspired him throughout his life, noting that he has a responsibility now to take Black culinary mainstream for others to savor. “My job as a chef with a platform is to broadcast and highlight [Black chefs],” he says.
