Pebblebrook Hotel Trust says it has transacted with an unnamed party to sell the Sir Francis Drake Hotel, a landmark near San Francisco’s Union Square since 1928. Pebblebrook says it will realize $157 million from the sale of a property noted for its grand marble staircase, lavish rooms and a room where bootlegged liquor was stored during the Prohibition Era.
