The construction of a new terminal at Sarasota Bradenton International Airport is a substantial project set to enhance the airport’s capacity and passenger services. To accommodate for recent growth, a new terminal named Concourse A (while the current/original terminal will be called Concourse B) will be built possibly by 2024 and will contain five gates. The new terminal will increase passenger capacity by 2.5 million.

Traveling through Sarasota Bradenton Airport is exceptionally convenient, thanks to its modern and easily navigable terminal building. With only one main terminal, there’s no need to worry about moving between terminals or catching a shuttle.

Situated at the east end of the ticket wing, the new terminal will span 75,300 square feet and incorporate several notable features. These include a four-lane security checkpoint and five boarding hold rooms equipped with 970 seats. Passengers can look forward to an array of amenities and services, including a new bar, café, restaurant, and marketplace within the double-height connector hall.

The new terminal has been meticulously designed to provide passengers with a host of traveler-friendly conveniences. This includes five gates, a four-lane security checkpoint, dedicated nursing rooms, a pet relief area, and modern restroom facilities. Notably, the terminal will offer seating for 970 passengers, with 630 seats equipped with power outlets for convenient device charging.

The strategic location of the new terminal is at the south end of the existing terminal, adjacent to Concourse A. Passengers can easily access it through a covered walkway that connects to the main terminal.
