Seabourn Encore Reroutes to Ensure Safety Amid Red Sea Tensions
Seabourn Cruise Line is proactively adjusting the spring 2025 itineraries of its luxury vessel, Seabourn Encore, in response to the ongoing security concerns in the Red Sea due to Houthi rebel attacks. Originally planned to transit west from Asia to Europe through the Red Sea, the ship will now reroute to travel east, ensuring the safety of its passengers and crew.
This new routing will see the 600-passenger Seabourn Encore embark on an extensive journey covering nearly 20,000 nautical miles from Singapore to Dubrovnik. The vessel will navigate through two oceans and visit a variety of destinations across four continents during this voyage.
Spring 2025 Itinerary Highlights:
- New Regions and Maiden Calls: The ship will explore regions including Southeast Asia, Japan, Hawaii, the Panama Canal, and the Mediterranean. The revised route includes 36 stops in 18 countries, with 18 of these ports being maiden calls for Seabourn Encore.
- Panama Canal and U.S. Visits: For the first time, the ship will transit through the Panama Canal and make its inaugural visits to the United States.
- Extended Stays and Overnights: To enhance the guest experience, overnight stays are planned in several key cities, including Ho Chi Minh City, Kobe, and Honolulu, allowing travelers to delve deeper into the local culture and nightlife.
The updated itineraries vary from seven to 25 days in length and offer the flexibility to be combined for extended voyages of up to 53 days.
In celebration of these new routes, Seabourn is offering a 10% discount on bookings made by November 19. “We are pleased to offer these new and exciting voyages on our beautiful Seabourn Encore to visit and explore a diverse range of destinations,” stated Natalya Leahy, president of Seabourn. “We hope guests will take advantage of our special offer and join Seabourn Encore as she sails to a number of destinations for the very first time.”
This strategic itinerary adjustment reflects Seabourn’s commitment to passenger safety while continuing to offer luxurious and unique travel experiences.
