Senate passes bill on hate crimes against Asian Americans

The Senate voted 94-1 to approve a bill intended to heighten law enforcement tracking of hate crimes against Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders and to enable faster Justice Department reviews when such crimes are reported. Sen. Josh Hawley, R-Mo., cast the only vote against the measure, which now advances to the House.
