Senator, airport officials tout sustainable fuels

Washington Sen. Maria Cantwell appeared at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport with airport and Alaska Airlines officials to encourage the development of sustainable aviation fuels, which Sen. Cantwell said could reduce emissions as much as 70%. “We know this is important to do because we know from smoky skies or record temperatures that we need to do more to address the climate crisis,” Cantwell said at the event.
