Senegal and West Africa now available from Lyon-Saint Exupéry airport

Air Senegal is launching the opening of the direct Lyon – Dakar line from March 28, 2021.

Residents of the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region will be able to fly direct to Dakar from Lyon from March 2021. Air Senegal will offer 3 frequencies per week with a wide choice of connections for the public traveling between l Lyon-Saint Exupéry airport and West Africa.

In Dakar, passengers will be able to benefit from fast connections in Senegal for Ziguinchor (ZIG) , and for Côte d’Ivoire (Abidjan), Mali (Bamako) , Guinea (Conakry), Gambia (Banjul), and Mauritania (Nouakchott). All flights will be operated in Airbus A321 configured with 16 seats in business class with flat bed seats and 149 seats in economy class.

Flight schedule

  • Flight Lyon – Dakar every Tuesday, Friday and Sunday.
    Departure from Lyon at 11h00 for an arrival in Dakar at 14:35 (local time).
  • Flight Dakar – Lyon * every Tuesday, Friday and Sunday.
    Departure from Dakar at 00:25 for an arrival in Lyon at 09:50 (local time).

Passengers will be able to take advantage of a baggage allowance of 46kg (two pieces) for all Air Senegal destinations on departure from Lyon and will also benefit from the frequent flyer program that the airline has just launched.

Flights are nowavailable for sale on the official website of the company with attractive prices for all the destinations served by Air Senegal which connect in both directions via Dakar.

* From Dakar, the new service will operate in a triangular fashion with a flight to Marseille without getting off the plane before serving Lyon. The Lyon-Dakar flight will be operated non-stop.
