Sheraton Cairo Hotel & Casino is committed to the well-being of animals, even outside of its walls. As part of Marriott International’s takecare program, the hotel recently partnered with a local animal welfare organization to spay and vaccinate the stray dogs that live around the hotel premises.

“We are proud to be taking this step to help the stray dogs in our community,” said Ashraf Michel, General Manager of Sheraton Cairo. “These animals are often overlooked, but they deserve our care and compassion. We hope that by spaying and vaccinating them, we can help to improve their health and well-being.”

The spay and neuter surgeries were performed by a team of experienced veterinarians, and the vaccinations were provided by a local animal hospital. The hotel also provided food and water for the dogs during the process.

The partnership is part of Marriott International’s takecare program, which aims to help hotels reduce their environmental impact and improve the well-being of everyone. Marriott International is committed to making a positive and sustainable impact wherever they do business. The company embraces a global responsibility to be a force for good, as demonstrated by the company’s sustainability and social impact platform, Serve 360: Doing Good in Every Direction.

Sheraton Cairo Hotel & Casino is one of over 7,000 Marriott International hotels that participate in the takecare program. The hotel offers rooms with private balconies overlooking the banks of the River Nile, as well as a casino, an outdoor pool, and a fitness center.
