Simone Biles, fresh off her impressive performance at the Paris Olympics, is making a new move—this time in the restaurant industry. The gymnastics superstar is set to open a Tex-Mex restaurant called Taste of Gold inside Houston’s George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH). The restaurant, located in Terminal A, is scheduled to open in early 2025, according to an airport press release.

Biles is partnering with The Playmakers Group, a company that operates two other athlete-themed airport restaurants in Texas. This venture aligns with Biles’ love for food, especially Houston’s vibrant culinary scene. Her first meal after returning from Paris was takeout from Stick Talk Cajun-Hibachi, a local fusion restaurant that she says “never misses.”

“I am a foodie at heart, and with Taste of Gold, we want to offer a beautiful dining experience featuring award-winning, signature dishes with some of my favorite flavors,” Biles shared in the press release.

While specific menu details have yet to be announced, an IAH representative hinted that the offerings will be revealed in the coming months. The airport’s bustling traffic, with over 46 million passengers in 2023, means Taste of Gold will have the opportunity to serve travelers from around the world.

If you’re traveling through Terminal A at IAH in 2025, make sure to stop by Taste of Gold for a flavorful dining experience, courtesy of one of the world’s greatest athletes.
