SKY Airline Expands Interregional Network, Enhancing Southern Chilean Connectivity

SKY Airline, Chile’s prominent low-cost carrier, is poised to reinforce its interregional network by introducing two new vital routes originating from Puerto Montt, a city nestled in the southern region of Chile. These new routes are set to connect Puerto Montt with the cities of Temuco and Concepción within the same region, significantly enhancing travel options and convenience for passengers while fostering the development and connectivity of Chile’s southern territory.

SKY Airline’s strategic expansion from Puerto Montt to Temuco and Concepción underscores the airline’s commitment to bolstering accessibility and regional growth in southern Chile. The introduction of these routes aims to cater to the diverse travel needs of passengers while contributing to the region’s economic development.

Puerto Montt to Concepción Route: The inaugural flight between Puerto Montt and Concepción is scheduled for December 18, 2023. This route will operate four times a week, on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.

Puerto Montt to Temuco Route: The maiden flight from Puerto Montt to Temuco will take off on December 19, 2023. This route will be serviced three times weekly, on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.

SKY Airline anticipates transporting approximately 6,800 passengers monthly on these new routes, further enhancing its extensive network that already encompasses destinations such as Santiago, Balmaceda, Punta Arenas, Calama, and Antofagasta from Puerto Montt. These strategic route additions align with the airline’s overarching expansion strategy across Chile and Latin America, where it currently serves 48 destinations spanning 21 countries.
