SkyTeam alliance joins gender equity initiative

The 19-member SkyTeam alliance, which includes Delta Air Lines, have committed to the International Air Transport Association’s “25by2025” initiative, which aims to increase by 25% the number of women holding senior positions and working in areas of the aviation industry where they are under-represented. SkyTeam members “are also working on a variety of programs and resources, including leadership and network development, to nurture female talent, increase the number of women in senior executive positions and help encourage future generations of women to choose aviation as a career,” said SkyTeam CEO Kristin Colvile, the first female CEO of a global airline alliance.
