Having announced its closure at the end of August this year, Slovak ACMI/charter specialist Go2Sky (6G, Bratislava) has now managed to negotiate a rescue deal with lessors and will thus resume operations. The airline told ch-aviation in a statement that the deal with lessors would allow it to restart after the winter. “Our mission is to offer flexible capacities matching the needs of the airline industry affected by Corona crisis as soon as in the spring time 2021,” Chief Executive Daniel Ferjancek said. The carrier will retain three out of its five B737-800s – OM-GTF (msn 28070), OM-GTH (msn 29644), and OM-GTG (msn 32604). The first of the trio was retired on August 7, 2020, the second on June 28, and the third on August 30. They are all currently stored at Piestany airport in Slovakia. According to the ch-aviation fleets ownership module, OM-GTF and OM-GTG are owned by FLY Leasing (managed by BBAM), and OM-GTH is owned by Magnetar Capital (managed by World Star Aviation).
