Sochi International Airport in January showed an increase in passenger traffic by 30%
Sochi Airport has started confidently in the new year, significantly exceeding the indicators of 2020. Therefore, in January 2021, Sochi International Airport served 601,236 passengers. This is 30% more than in the first month of 2020 when passenger traffic was 463,383 passengers.
600,509 people (+ 38%) used the services of airlines on domestic routes, 797 (-97%) on international routes.
The number of sorties in January 2021 was 2,331 operations, which is 20% more than in the same period in 2020.
The volume of processed cargo and mail in the first month of this year amounted to more than 184 tons.
The most popular routes for domestic destinations for several months remain Moscow, St. Petersburg, Yekaterinburg, Kazan, and Novosibirsk. International air traffic at the Sochi airport is still not restored.
Recall, in connection with the operation of the high-alert mode, Sochi International Airport reminds of the need to use respiratory protection equipment and observe social distance in the terminals and onboard the aircraft.
At the airport, thermal imagers automatically measure the temperature of all passengers and guests at the entrance during security screening at the terminal.
