Southwest Airlines CEO Bob Jordan expressed optimism about the recovery of corporate business travel. “Demand is strong — that’s leisure — now corporate and business is still below 2019, but we’ve seen a huge increase. We were down about 36% in March compared to 2019, but that’s a 34-point improvement compared to January,” Jordan said. “While it’s a long ways off and it’s hard to predict, we have a shot of ending 2022 with managed business demand fully recovered to 2019 levels.”
