Southwest CEO predicts continued rise in demand

Southwest Airlines is focusing on restoring its schedule “density to where it was in 2019” and on the “well being” of employees who “are the secret sauce of this airline,” CEO Bob Jordan said in an interview. Jordan said he anticipates that travel demand will continue to rise, but noted meeting that demand requires available pilots and flight instructors. He mentioned a significant decline in airport and aircraft incidents after the federal transportation mask mandate was lifted last month.
