Southwest exec discusses sustainability plan

Stacy Malphurs, vice president of supply chain management and environmental sustainability at Southwest Airlines, said the carrier has an “actionable plan” with short-term interim goals to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050. The plan includes sustainable aviation fuel, more fuel efficient aircraft and using advanced route planning to cut the amount of fuel planes use.
