Spas land these European sites on World Heritage list

Eleven spa towns in Europe have been designated as Unesco World Heritage sites, representing “the best remnants from a bygone era when the agreeable conflation of health and pleasure saw Europe’s elite flock to mineral springs — not just for healing and rest, but also for culture, entertainment and fun,” Feargus O’Sullivan writes. Towns in Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Italy and the UK made the list.
