St. Louis hotel project taps BIM, prefabrication

Building information modeling and prefabricated components are facilitating construction of a $26.4 million AC Hotel in St. Louis. “BIM has been around for years, but we’ve adapted it to capitalize on the growing number of subcontractors that are growing their proficiencies in prefabrication,” Chris Shinkle, president of contractor Midas Construction.
