Los Angeles County plans to purchase a hotel and two motels into temporary housing for homeless people using a state grant of more than $18 million. Grants under the Project Homekey program also went to the cities of Arcata and Berkeley, Santa Barbara County and the Yurok Indian Housing Authority.
