Study: Small hotel, travel businesses saw shutdowns rise

The pandemic accelerated the failure rate for small businesses in hospitality and travel, but not to the degree of other major industries, a new study from Facebook and Meta has found. The hotel and travel closure pace rose from 15% last July to 19% in January, compared with 22% in agriculture, wholesale and retail, according to the Global State of Small Business Report.
