Tenn. legislature allows hotel tax boost for NFL stadium

The Tennessee legislature has voted to permit the city of Nashville to raise the local lodging tax by 1% as part of the funding for the Titans’ new football stadium. The measure, which awaits Gov. Bill Lee’s signature, could raise as much as $20 million a year, Nashville Convention and Visitors Corp. CEO Butch Spyridon said.
