Texel Air Australasia Expanding Fleet to Meet Growing Demands
ACMI/charter cargo airline Texel Air Australasia is set to receive another converted freighter.
Bahrain-headquartered Chisholm Enterprises said its subsidiary Texel Air Australasia will add a Boeing 737-800 passenger to freighter (P2F) aircraft to its fleet after conversion by GAMECO.
Chisholm said in a LinkedIn post on July 20 that its “latest acquisition MSN 35092 has a ferried (sic) to GAMECO for its cargo conversion as our next BCF. This new aircraft brings our total B737-800 owned fleet to four aircraft and will be headed to Texel Air Australasia to support our growth in the southern hemisphere”.
Auckland-headquartered Texel Air Australasia commenced operations in June utilising a Boeing 737-800BFC. Air Cargo News reported at the time that the airline planned to add a further two 737-800BFC aircraft by the end of the year.
Texel Air Australasia’s website states that the airline’s fleet of Boeing 737s includes the B737-300F, the B737-700 FlexCombi and the B737-800BCF.
Sister airline Texel Air is headquartered in Bahrain.
