Whether sharing their travel experiences with others or seeking out inspiration for their next journey, travelers often flock to social media to get their travel fix. Global fashion brand Superdry recently commissioned research to uncover the most viewed countries, cities and attractions as it relates to travel on the video-sharing and social networking app TikTok. The research involved analyzing the view numbers of thousands of travel-related hashtags on the app to reveal the trendiest places and landmarks around the world. To do so, Superdry compiled a list of 193 countries, 292 cities and 1,095 attractions and searched their respective hashtags on TikTok. Here’s a look at the 10 most watched cities and attractions across the globe as of this fall.

10. Melbourne, Australia
With 11 million views, Melbourne is the 10th-most watched city worldwide on travel-related TikTok, according to Superdry’s research. Perhaps surprisingly, it’s also the most watched Australian destination right now, edging out 17th-ranked Sydney, which has been viewed just 2.8 million times for travel purposes as of September 2021.

9. Bogota, Colombia
Bogota is one of only two South American cities in the top 25, ranking ninth worldwide with an impressive 12.4 million views among travel-minded TikTok users. The Colombian capital has much to offer visiting art and history enthusiasts as well as a lively nightlife scene.

8. Tokyo, Japan
With just over 13 million views, Tokyo is only the eighth-most watched city around the world for travel research on TikTok, with users both showcasing and gushing over its many epic sites and landmarks, including its historic temples, shrines and scenic gardens.

7. Buenos Aires, Argentina
Buenos Aires, Argentina is the most watched city in South America with over 16 million views on travel TikTok. Notable landmarks here include the Obelisco de Buenos Aires, Plaza de Mayo and Recoleta Cemetery, among others.

6. Paris, France
No surprises here. The City of Light, Paris is the most watched European city when it comes to travel-related posts on TikTok with 27.2 million views as of September 2021. Interestingly, France doesn’t even make the list of the 25 most watched countries around the world, based on Superdry’s research.

5. Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam
Vietnam’s Ho Chi Minh City tops Paris with 32.6 million views on travel-related TikTok but still trails two other Asian destinations by a considerable margin. From the historic Giac Lam Pagoda to the Notre Dame Cathedral of Saigon, the city possesses no shortage of amazing sites for travelers to get excited about.

4. Jakarta, Indonesia
Celebrated for its incredible blend of cultures which can be experienced in through its architecture and cuisine, Jakarta is a hit with travel-focused TikTok users, generating more than 37 million views on the popular app. As a country, Indonesia ranks 14th worldwide with 45.4 million views on travel TikTok.

3. Dubai, United Arab Emirates
Dubai’s 62.7 million views are slightly more than half that of the number one ranked city but the City of Gold is still comfortably ranked inside the top three and boasts four of the world’s 25 most watched attraction on travel TikTok, making it arguably the most popular travel destination among the app’s users.

2. Seoul, South Korea
The most watched Asian destination when it comes to travel-related TikTok posts is Seoul, South Korea, which has generated a whopping 106.5 million views on the app as of September 2021. The South Korean capital blends jaw-dropping skyscrapers with fascinating ancient temples and inviting gardens. But that’s just the beginning of what this coveted destination can offer culture seekers.

1. New York, New York
New York City is the most watched city in the world on travel TikTok with 114 million views, according to Superdry. Still, it’s not enough to carry the United States to the top of the country rankings. The U.S. is only the fourth-most watched country on travel-related TikTok with a total of 146.3 million views, trailing Mexico, Russia and Japan.

10. Taj Mahal, India
A UNESCO World Heritage Site dating back nearly four centuries, India’s Taj Mahal is the 10th-most watched tourist attraction among would-be travelers on TikTok, racking up more than 348 million views, according to Superdry’s latest research.

9. Niagara Falls, Canada and United States
Niagara Falls on the U.S.-Canada border attracts millions of tourists every year, resulting in a plethora of insightful TikTok content for travelers. The breathtaking waterfalls have been viewed more than 384 million times on the app, making them the fourth-most watched U.S. attraction and ninth-most watched worldwide.

8. Global Village, United Arab Emirates
While Dubai is the just the world’s third-most watched city on travel TikTok behind New York City and Seoul, it’s home to three of the top 10 most watched attractions in the world, including Global Village, a sprawling entertainment complex boasting shopping, dining, live shows and performances and a slew of attractions. Global Village has been viewed over 390 million times by eager travelers on TikTok, according to Superdry.

7. Eiffel Tower, France
One of the world’s most romantic and singular attractions, the Eiffel Tower ranks as the seventh-most watched attraction on travel TikTok with a total of 413.6 million views. Nonetheless, it’s still not the most viewed attraction in Europe or even France for that matter.

6. Universal Studios Hollywood, United States
Undoubtedly a surprise entry in the top 10, California’s Universal Studios Hollywood just north of Los Angeles ranks sixth among worldwide attractions with more than 430 million views on travel TikTok. Southern California certainly isn’t short on appealing attractions but it seems would-be travelers have taken an interest in going behind the scenes in Hollywood.

5. Times Square, United States
Indelible Times Square is the most viewed attraction in the most-watched city on travel TikTok, recording more than 525 million views. Nonetheless, the iconic plaza renowned for its bright lights and Broadway shows isn’t the most watched attraction in the United States.

4. Dubai Mall, United Arab Emirates
Another marquee shopping, dining and entertainment destination in Dubai, the Dubai Mall ranks as the fourth-most viewed attraction on travel TikTok with nearly 575 million views. The Dubai Mall is one of the world’s largest and is located just steps from the world’s most watched attraction.

3. Disneyland Paris, France
Disneyland Paris might be Europe’s most sought-after attraction with 685.8 million views but somehow it isn’t even the most watched Disney destination. The resort will celebrate its 30th anniversary this coming spring and will hope to draw the nearly 15 million annual visitors it hosted prior to the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2019.

2. Walt Disney World Resort, United States
The Most Magical Place on Earth is the second-most watched attraction by travel-hungry TikTok users with 965.3 million views as of this fall. 1. Burj Khalifa, United Arab Emirates
With a whopping 1.5 billion views, the world’s tallest building, the Burj Khalifa is also the world’s most watched attraction on travel TikTok. The unmistakable Dubai attraction stretches over a half-mile into the sky and boasts observation decks offering visitors sweeping views of the city and as far as the shores of Iran on a clear day.
