Top travel group offers 12-part green initiative for hotels

A 12-point hotel sustainability plan ranging from energy conservation to elimination of plastic straws was issued this week by the World Travel & Tourism Council at its summit in Manila. Timed for Earth Day, the initiative has buy-in from major hotel chains and includes many measures already employed by the industry.
