Tourism initiatives aim to boost Black-owned hotel stays

Real estate investor Davonne Reaves has rolled out the #StayBlackEnterprises campaign together with a directory of Black-owned lodging on StayBlackExperience.com to boost the occupancy of lodgings headed by Black hospitality professionals. The National Association of Black Hotel Owners, Operators and Developers is also designing an online directory of Black-owned properties, which it estimates accounts for less than 2% of US market’s hotels.
