Trader Joe’s ramps up diversity, inclusion programs

Trader Joe’s will increase its diversity and inclusion efforts, pledging to set aside 15% of its shelf space to showcase products from Black-owned businesses as part of its overall strategy, according to a report recently released by the company. Among other initiatives in 2020, Trader Joe’s set up a scholarship fund for Black team members and named Deborah Williams to lead development of programs to grow diversity among company leaders.
