Travel agencies lose some legal cover

A recent US Supreme Court case no longer allows travel agencies to sue a former independent contractor who steals client information under the federal Computer Fraud and Abuse Act, says Mark Pestronk. Contract clauses that bar access to files of clients who employees and contractors don’t have contact with would allow for recourse, Pestronk notes.
