Travel industry coalition calls for lifting pandemic restrictions

A coalition of travel-industry groups, including Airlines for America, in a letter urged federal officials to end predeparture testing requirements and the federal mask mandate as new cases have stabilized and “numerous studies and public health experts have demonstrated that planes are among the safest of indoor environments due to the superior ventilation and hospital-grade air filters on commercial aircraft.”
