TSA expands upgraded checkpoint scanning system
The Transportation Security Administration is expanding its use of the Credential Authentication Technology system, which allows agents to obtain flight information by scanning a passenger’s identification, eliminating the need to present a boarding pass at the security checkpoint. Saving just a few seconds with each traveler could cut wait times at screening checkpoints by 15 minutes.
