TSA screens 1.5M, still down 30% from 2019 levels

The Transportation Security Administration screened 1.5 million people at checkpoints on March 21, the first time air passenger throughput has reached that level since March 2020. Airlines for America reported that passenger demand remains 47% below pre-pandemic levels, while international travel demand is down 68%.
