TSA screens 2M people, highest since March 2020
The Transportation Security Administration screened more than two million people at US airports on both Friday and Sunday for the first time since the coronavirus pandemic began in March 2020. While domestic leisure destinations continue to receive increased demand, Friday’s passenger throughput volume was down 25% compared to pre-pandemic levels in 2019. As domestic air travel continues to recover, US airlines are now focusing on safely easing international travel restrictions, including the critical US-UK market.
