Uber has introduced a new, affordable way to travel to LaGuardia Airport (LGA) with its Uber Shuttle service in New York City. This service offers 14-passenger rides from major public transportation hubs to the airport for just $18 per person. Running every 30 minutes from 5 a.m. to 10:45 p.m. daily, the shuttle provides a cost-effective and eco-friendly travel option.

Sachin Kansal, Uber’s VP of product management, explained that the service is designed to be a convenient and affordable alternative, especially in congested areas where finding an Uber might be challenging. While currently available only for LaGuardia, Uber plans to expand the shuttle service to other airports in the future.

Travelers can book up to four seats seven days in advance through the Uber app. Upon booking, users will receive a QR-code ticket and a unique PIN for the driver. Passengers are allowed one piece of luggage (carry-on or checked, up to 50 pounds) and a personal item.

Two routes are available: one stops at Port Authority Terminal and Grand Central Terminal, and the other stops at Penn Station. The shuttles drop passengers off at LaGuardia’s Terminal B or C. Real-time shuttle tracking is available within 25 minutes of scheduled departures.

To celebrate the launch, Uber is offering half-off fares, reducing the cost to $9 for the first month. The Uber Shuttle service will eventually expand to other venues, including concerts, making it an ideal transportation solution for large events.
