Jan Konetzki, the German-born wine director at Four Seasons at Ten Trinity Square in London and the founder of luxury consultancy Konetzki, talks about the wine selections offered at the hotel’s restaurants, his “magical” experience drinking a 1992 Rheingau Riesling Schlossberg Grand Cru, and his desire to expand the sommelier’s role. “The work of a sommelier is much greater than the technical aspect of pulling a cork and having an ear and an opinion,” said Konetzki.
