United Airlines boosts investment in electric air taxis
United Airlines is boosting its investment in electric air taxis, agreeing to buy 200 of the electric vertical take-off and landing vehicles from Eve Air Mobility and investing $15 million in the company. “Together, we believe our suite of clean energy technologies will revolutionize air travel as we know it and serve as the catalyst for the aviation industry to move toward a sustainable future,” said Michael Leskinen, president of United Airlines Ventures, the carrier’s venture firm aimed at decarbonizing air travel.
