United Airlines to require vaccinations for US employees

United Airlines announced it will require all US employees to be vaccinated against COVID-19 by Oct. 25, or five weeks after the Food and Drug Administration grants full approval to a coronavirus vaccine, whichever is first. “We know some of you will disagree with this decision to require the vaccine for all United employees,” but “the facts are crystal clear: everyone is safer when everyone is vaccinated,” CEO Scott Kirby and President Brett Hart said. Employees who are vaccinated by Sept. 20 will receive an extra day of pay. The airline has been requiring new hires to be vaccinated since June.
