“We’ve been gratified by the response from employees so far,” United CEO Scott Kirby said of the carrier’s announcement to require its US workforce to be vaccinated against COVID-19 by Oct. 25. Kirby addressed requiring vaccination for passengers, saying it “would be logistically impractical to do in the United States,” but noted that vaccination rates are already increasing. Hawaiian Airlines also announced that COVID-19 vaccination will be required for its US workforce.
