United invests in supersonic aircraft

United Airlines says it will support Boom Supersonic as the company continues development of the Boom Overture supersonic passenger aircraft. The airline has signed on to receive 15 Overture aircraft. The Overture aircraft aims to be “the first large commercial aircraft to be net-zero carbon from day one” and “optimized to run on 100% sustainable aviation fuel,” according to United.
